Purpose of this Website

The purpose of this site is to gather and share information about the ancestry and relatives of Solomon Paul Perry (1899-1961), born in Junior WV, and Helen Shirley Wallin, born in Sayre PA in 1920. Much of the ancestry is centered in these two areas. Paul and Helen were married in Sayre PA on June 14, 1941. The family tree associated with this website presently includes 530 people and 775 photos. You may browse the family tree at any time starting at the root of the tree. But if you're unfamiliar with the kind of database that is produced by the app Reunion from Leister Productions then you are advised to start by browsing the instructions below.

How to use the Family Tree portion of this Website

The Perry-Wallin family tree website consists of family cards, person cards, and media pages. This blog provides entry to the family tree and a number of related documents. You can enter the family tree at any time, but if you're not familiar with the features of the genealogy files produced by "Reunion" from Leister Productions

This is what a family card looks like

Family Cards
The family cards typically list a husband and wife, with the parents of each listed above the couple and the children listed beneath. Basic info such as birth and death dates and marriage dates are shown on the family card. If you click the name of a parent or child, you move to the family card of the person whose name you have clicked. If you click the name of the husband or wife on the card, you go to detailed information about that individual (if any such information is available). You will know whether additional information is available for the husband or wife via a flag on the family card that says "Click name for more info", an indication that more information is indeed available.

Person Cards
Person cards show the information on the family card plus information (if available) about the individual. Frequently this includes links to resources on the Internet. At the bottom of each person card is a link to get back to the family card for that person. Some person cards will include a line that says "Flags: Click name for more info". (See picture to right). That flag indicates that more information about the person can be obtained by clicking the link to the person card.

Media Pages
If pictures are available for a person or family, you will see small "camera icons" which can be clicked go to the appropriate media page. Media pages are associated with individuals and with families. At the bottom of each media page is a "Back" link leading back to the family card. If there are pictures on a family card, you may simply click the picture to go to the media page for that person.

Click the "tree" to view that person's family tree

Family Trees
There is a small green "tree" icon by the name of husband and wife on each family card. Clicking this symbol takes you to a family tree showing the ancestry of the person. You may click the name of any person in a tree to move to the tree of that particular person. You also have pop-up menues in the tree to move to the tree of any spouse or child of a person in the tree. If you click the root person of the tree, you go to that person's family card.
