In the second page Inez Mae describes her memories of her maternal grandparents Alpheus Moore (1844-1927) and Lucinda Yoak Moore (1842-1927). (Note that Lucinda died the day after Alpheus.) Inez Mae refers to hikes "over the mountain" that Solomon Paul Perry made to visit the farm of his grandfather Alpheus Moore.
On page 3 Inez Mae talks humorously about the relationship between Solomon Paul and his brother Kirke. (She describes Kirke as "a dreamy musician as naive an adult who ever lived".)
